The upper headwaters, including its sparkling waters, scenic verdant meadows, rich riparian habitat, and thick forests of pine, fir, and oak offer an outdoor recreation mecca for hikers, bicyclists and fishermen There are several popular trailheads into the adjacent San Gorgonio Wilderness for hiking. A trail provides access to the fishing holes along the Santa Ana River. Almost 5,000 feet above sea level in a mecca of sunshine and clear air. This is where mountain bikers glide down fire roads, and hikers dip into pure water after rambling through mountain meadows.
